Inline High Shear Mixer

Nandodyne Inline High Shear Mixer is suitable for the widest variety of applications such as mixing, emulsifying, homogenizing, solubilizing, suspending, dispersing and disintegrating a wide range of fluid and semi-fluids – with efficiency, flexibility and sanitary construction unmatched by other machines. This latest technology is for sanitary inline continuous processing or batch processing with circulation. It features a first-in-class tandem head design combining the benefits of both an axial & radial stage, creating excellent shear & flow characteristics. This results in droplet size reduction as low as 2 – 8 microns & a very narrow distribution. The flow capacities are substantially higher than an existing inline mixer.

How It Works?

Nandodyne Laboratory mixer has powerful suction which forces liquid and solid materials upwards from the bottom of the vessel and into the center of the work head. The stator and rotor create a centrifugal force which drives material towards the periphery of the work head where they are subjected to a milling action. The material expelled from the head goes toward the side of the mixing vessel, at the same time fresh material is continually drawn into the work head maintaining the mixing cycle. This way it gives the expected result in a shorter time.

 

Passing Method For Inline Mixer
Single-Pass Method:

  1. CONTINUOUS  BLENDING: This ensures that the products that react together are mixed immediately on contact. This method is ideal for continuous liquid/liquid blending and for products where aeration must be avoided.
  2. SERIES PROCESSING: When a higher degree of homogenization or comminution is required it can be obtained by passing through the inline mixer.  
  3. PRE-MIX METHOD: NANDODYNE batch type method is used to mix product in the vessel before its product passes through the inline mixer.
  4. RECIRCULATION METHOD: The recirculation method is used when a high degree of homogenization, emulsification, or reduction of micron particle size is required. The product is drawn from the vessel to inline pumps and passed back to the top of the vessel.

Type of Inline Mixer

  1. Standard Inline Single-stage Mixer: These standard single-stage series can perform the widest variety of applications such as mixing, emulsifying, homogenising, disintegrating & dissolving, with efficiency & flexibility unmatched by other machines. This mixer has an interchangeable work head which allows it to be used in a wide range of different products.
  2. Multistage Inline High Shear Mixer: This model is developed especially for a higher degree of shear and to reduce downtime for the final product. Multi-stage inline high shear mixer in that multi–toothed rotor consists of two concentric sets of blades & teeth running against two separate stators.
  3. Hygienic Inline Mixer: This model is developed to complete the demand of the pharmaceutical & food industries for hygienic purposes. In this model construction in ss 316, the design has no gapping and all elastomers will be as per product for example food elastomers will be in food-grade material.

Interchange Mixing Head

Used for a wide range of applications, this head will give the greatest throughput. Suitable for blending liquids of similar or greatly varying viscosities and disintegration of solids and semi-solid materials.

 

Rectangular Hole

This screen provides an exceptionally high shear rate which is ideal for the rapid size reduction of soluble and insoluble granular solids and is suitable for fine emulsions, gels, thickeners and colloidal suspensions.

 

Slotted Disintegrating Head

For fibrous materials such as rubber, and animal and vegetable tissue, as well as disintegration and solubilization.

Round Hole Emulsion

This screen is suitable for liquid/liquid preparation and is especially useful for all emulsions. Emulsion screens are available in fine, medium or coarse perforations.
